For a small village, Bodelwyddan has two very big attractions. One is the famous “marble church” erected by Lady Willoughby de Broke in 1856. The other is Bodelwyddan Castle. Welsh outpost of the National Portrait Gallery. Set in 260 acres of woods and parkland, it’s a great place for a family day out with an adventure playground, garden maze, Victorian games room and café. And watch out for the First World War practice trenches.
