Sun, Sea, Surf and Slides! Fun for all the family in all weathers.
Rhyl provides the perfect base for enjoying some of the most beautiful scenery and sampling the top activities on offer.
In Rhyl you can stroll along the promenade or take a ride on our traditional beach donkeys. If you are feeling energetic you can get on your bike and experience part of National Cycle Route 5 on Rhyl Promenade. Whilst there, visit the Drift Park where there are five different zones to explore, visit the casino or go 10 pin bowling. Prepare yourself for the fright of your life in the Terror Tombs or head for the Botanical Gardens, an oasis of calm with gardens, tennis courts and a bowling green. Tiny tots can be entertained at the Children’s Playground.
Brickfields Pond is a tranquil freshwater lake surrounded by grassland and woodland where you can enjoy the sculpture trail, fishing, or bird watching. Televised harness racing can be seen at Tir Prince Raceway and you can watch the football at Rhyl’s own league ground. From boating, swimming and tennis to bowling, golf and dancing there are many activities to please the whole family.
Countryside Services offers a number of activities during the year in the Rhyl area. See the ‘Out and About’ leaflet available from the TIC for ideas of things to do.
Slightly further afield you will find such activities as strolling through the gardens at Bodelwyddan Castle or perhaps the children might like the ‘gruelling experience’ of Ruthin Gaol. Outdoor pursuits can be enjoyed at Loggerheads Country Park near Mold with scenery and walks of all abilities.
